Logging onto the Content Managment System
To access your websites CMS, type the CMS URL provided by InLoco into your favourite web browser. Type your username and password which was emailed to you by the developer in charge of your site. Before you click on the "Login" button, notice that there are three radio buttons on the login page. When the first radio button option is selected before clicking the "Login" button, you will automatically be logged in when accessing the CMS Admin URL. The second radio button option will remember your username but not your password, and the last radio button will cause the system to always ask you for your username and password. The last option is recommended when you are using a public computer for example an internet cafe.

Editing a page
Once you are logged onto the CMS Admin section, you will typically see a list of all your pages. Next to each page will be the option to View or Edit that particular page. To edit a page, simply click on the "Edit" link next to the page you would like to edit. A new page which contains various form fields as well as a WYSIWYG (what You See Is What You Get) rich text editor. The various WYSIWYG functions and options are discussed throughout this manual, please browse through the index above and select the particular topic or area you would like more information about.

Formatting Text
There are several rich text formatting options available in the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Editor. The text formatting options are similar if not identical to that of Popular word processing programs such as MSWord or Star Office. The text formatting actions / results are typically indicated on the icon for example to my text bold, click and drag your mouse over the text you want to modify to select / highlight it, now click on the big bold [B], you will immediatly see the selected text transform and become bold. Other options include the [I] for italics, [U] for underline and [ABC] Strike Through modification.
There are also options such as Subscript [x] and Superscript [x]. Numbered and bulleted lists may also be inserted. To convert a list of words / sentences into a numbered or bulleted list, simply create the list, click and drag your mouse to select the text and click on either the bulleted or numbered list icon. Finally we have the align formatting options, firstly there is left align, secondly centre/middle align, right align and justify align. To apply the alignment to text, simply select the text and select the alignment option required.

Inserting & Editing Tables
To insert a table, place and click your mouse pointer where you want to place the table. Click on the table icon, a popup window appears with several options. A small form allows you to specify how many rows and columns the table should have, the table width may be specified in pixel and percentage values, if you want your table to be as wide as the entire screen, type 100 in the width field and select percent. If you want your table to have a border, type a value larger than 0 in the broder field or 0 if you do not want a border. Once you have selected yout table specifications click on OK, or Cancel to exit the table window.

Inserting & Editing Images
To place an image on your page, point and click your pointer to where you want to place the image, now click on the Image icon. The Image popup window will appear, next to the URL field, click on the browse server button. If the image you are looking for is not on the server, you need to upload the image. Click on the Browse... button, browse your system and find the image, now click on the Upload button. Wait untill the image is uploaded and appears in the list of files on the server. Fianlly click on the image filename and click "OK". For improved search engine rankings, we would suggest that you provide Alt text for each image, the alt text should contain a description of the image with appropriate keywords which relates to the image subject matter.

Inserting & Editing Links
Inserting a link is simple, select the text or image you want to convert into a link, click on the "Insert/Edit Link" icon. If you want to link to another website, enter the website URL into the URL field. To link to a file on the server, click on the "Browse Server" button, find the file on the server and click ok, to upload a file to link to, click on "Browse...", find the file on your system and click on Upload, once the file is uploaded, select the file and click OK. To create a link that opens up an email message complete with email address, change the Link Type to email, provide the email, subject and body message of your choice. To create a link to an anchor, change the link type to "Anchors this page" and select the anchor you want to link to. Note: in order to link to an anchor, you will need to define a page anchor first. Please read the next section titled: Inserting & Editing Anchors

Inserting & Editing Anchors
An anchor is a particular area on a page that you can link to. If the anchor is at the bottom of the page, the browser will scroll all the way doen to where the anchor is once the anchor link is clicked. To specify an anchor on a page, point and click your mouse at the position where you want to insert the anchor, you can also select text or an image, once selected, click on the "Insert/Edit Anchor" icon. Specify a name for the anchor in the Anchor Name field and click OK.

Inserting Flash Elements
Inserting a flash element is exactly the same as inserting an image. If you would like more information or instructions, please read the
"Inserting/Editing Images" section above.

Using Content Templates
Content templates are predefined layouts which could contain images and specific text layouts. Click on the "Content Templates" icon to view the available content templates created by your websites developer. Your websites content does by default fit in with the websites look and feel, for this reason content templates are seldomly used.

Installing the Spell Checker
ieSpell is a free Internet Explorer browser extension that spell-checks text-input boxes on a Web page. You get to store and use your personal word list across all your applications instead of having to maintain separate ones on each application.
The latest version of IeSpell can be downloaded here, but for your convenience, we have a copy on our server which can be downloaded here IeSpell [1.96 MB].
Please Note: IeSpell is a thirdparty application, and InLoco offers no support for this product.

Pasting MSWord Content
Retains formatting created in Microsoft Word. Tables, alignment and rich text formatting is retained. Please note that images will be lost and need to be inserted via the Insert/Edit Image function.

Pasting Plain Text Content
Remove all formatting and paste only text in it's simplest form / format. I.e. Plain Text
